Employee Spotlight is our blog series where we get up-close and personal with our team members at Ackcio. For this edition of the Employee Spotlight series, we are featuring Zynn Zhang, our Office & Operations Manager, who has been with Ackcio for 3 years. 

Introduce yourself and your role at Ackcio?
Hi, my name is Zynn. I’ve been with Ackcio for 3 years as the Office & Operations Manager. I love keeping our office organised.

What drew you to Ackcio when you initially started, and how has the company changed since then?
Ackcio is a company that trusts its employees. This is very important to me. In addition, it has a good work-life balance and flexible timings for employees.

Over the past 3 years, the company has grown exponentially. The management has initiated changes and developed concrete plans to expand the business model and commercialise its offer.

What does your job entail?
I oversee the organisational activities of the business and provide operational support to all departments of the company. I’m usually the first point of contact for both internal and external parties of our office. I’m responsible for increasing the efficiency of the company.

What’s been one of your proudest moments working at Ackcio?
What I’m proud of most is being a key person who makes sure everything in the office runs smoothly and this has translated into increasing the company’s overall efficiency and productivity. Every day, I learn how to be a better employee. After all, an employee is only as strong as the team that he/she is working for.

How would you describe your professional growth in Ackcio?
Ackcio has given me great responsibility and numerous opportunities to learn from different team members and departments. As I acquire new skills and experience in my job, I have learnt to be adaptable to changing situations. I consider myself as a go-getter now who will make things happen even during changing circumstances.

I have also learnt to communicate and connect with different people in the company, demonstrating empathy and setting clear expectations in the workplace.

What is your motto or personal mantra?
Never complain; never explain.

I believe in taking action and letting results speak for themselves.

What’s your favourite indoor/outdoor activity?
Jogging, as it is addictive.

What is one food that you cannot resist?
Hotpot. As a traditional Chinese dish, it reminds me of the taste of my home.
